Regularly operated via the integrated oil-cooled Perma multi-plate clutch, the equipment varies depending on the gearbox. In the PowrQuad Plus and in the AutoQuad Plus versions, the John Deere 6820 can be controlled via 20 forward and 20 reverse gears. In Ecoshift Variation, the tractor also has 20 forward and 20 reverse gears, while the AutoPowr version runs using a continuously variable transmission. With AutoPowr the top speed increases up to 50 km/h. The standardized hydrostatic steering and the TLS all-wheel axle with a spring travel of 100 mm give the John Deere 6820 a smooth driving experience. The oil-cooled, hydraulically actuated disc brakes are also included in the basic package. The empty weight of the tractor is 5700 kg. With a permissible total weight of 10500 kg, a load of 4800 kg is guaranteed.
